Will LUGs (Linux User Groups) in India adopt TikiWiki for their portal / groupware / content management needs? Now there is a better chance; the 2004 release of PCQ Linux, a Fedora Linux distribution highly customized for South Asia requirements, includes TikiWiki 1.7.4.
As India develops will tiki be there? Good News! TikiWiki 1.7.4 is bundled with PCQ Linux 2004 release (paid subscription required). PCQ Linux is a Fedora Linux distribution that is highly customized for South Asia requirements.
This is good news because no Indian language as yet appears on our i18n chart, and there are nearly as many millions of potential tiki users in India as there are in China. A translation of TikiWiki Docs into traditional Chinese is well underway.
A TikiTeams member noted that "translations don't come by magic, someone must want to do (the translation) and then maintain that translation." If you speak Chinese,Hindi, or Urdu and want to help with the translations, please contact us and we'll help out as best we can!
